Anthony is a 4 month old baby with severe narrowing of the valve between the heart and the vessel to the lungs. This valve was opened in the cathlab by Robert English MD using an angioplasty technique. Anthony had an excellent result from this procedure and is unlikely to require any further interventionsndrew is a 3month old boy with a severe form of tetralogy of Fallot. This consists of a large hole between the pumping chambers of the heart and narrowing in the pathway of blood flow from the heart to the lungs. As a result of this Andrew was very blue from poor oxygenation and at risk for sudden death. In March he underwent successful open heart repair by Robert Dabal MD with closure of the hole plus resection of the obstruction to pulmonary blood flow. His long term prognosis is excellent.
