Kirsy is a 3 year old girl from Dominican Republic who came to Jacksonville for repair of a hole between the pumping chambers of her heart. Upon arrival here she was also noted to have a damaged aortic valve with significant leaking. This was confirmed on a diagnostic cardiac catheterization. She underwent open heart surgery by Eric Ceithaml MD which consisted of closure of the hole and repair of the damaged aortic valve. Kirsi has done very well after her operation and returned to Dominican Republic on April 20.
