Tamin is an 8 year old boy with Tetralogy of Fallot, a fairly common congenital problem where there is a large hole between the pumping chambers of the heart combined with obstruction to blood flow to the lungs. Typically open heart repair is performed around 6 months of age. Even though he is much older, surgery in him should still lead to normal activity levels and quality of life.

"Our family feels very honored and fortunate that we have been able to learn so much, first hand, about the country (where) my husband is deployed. I am so happy that so many people worked so hard to help these families come to Florida, which has also helped my family better understand why Mike (Muzelak) is deployed. We are learning the beauty of Afghanistan and their kind people.

With sincere regard,
Juli Muzelak
